BIOGRAPHY

Tom is specialised in corporate and business law. He is Managing Partner and one of the founding members of Moore Law.

After obtaining his Law Degree (Licentiate in Law) from KU Leuven in 1999, he earned a Diplôme d’Études Spécialisées in International Economic Law from U.C.L. (2000, cum laude), and completed a Master after Master in Corporate Law at KU Leuven (2003, cum laude). He also completed training as a Mediator in Civil and Commercial Matters (2017).

He primarily focuses on advising and assisting companies, business leaders, and shareholders in matters of corporate law and M&A. He also has extensive experience as a litigation lawyer, representing clients before courts, tribunals, and arbitration bodies.

Tom has developed a strong expertise in corporate law, particularly in handling shareholder disputes, through both mediation and court proceedings.
He advises clients on a wide range of corporate and M&A matters (share and asset deals, MBOs and LBOs, shareholders’ agreements, directors’ liability, etc.). Additionally, he provides advice and legal support in general business law and commercial contract disputes (agency, distribution, etc.).

Tom also serves as a Deputy Judge at the Dutch-speaking Enterprise Court of Brussels.

With his background as legal counsel for football players, clubs, and cyclists, and as Federal Prosecutor for Tennis & Padel Vlaanderen, he has a special affinity with sports law and disciplinary matters.

Tom frequently gives seminars on various aspects of corporate and business law for different organisations. He also lectures on corporate law at the Flanders Business School (KU Leuven).
