BIOGRAPHY
Nick specialises in and has extensive and relevant experience in insolvency law and banking law.
He has been a partner at Moore Law since the acquisition of Essenzia Humans In Law, of which he was a co-founder.
After obtaining his Licentiate in Law degree (KU Leuven, 1989), he earned a special license in Maritime Sciences (UA, 1990), followed by a business economics course (Antwerp Management School, 1998), training as a mediator in civil and commercial matters (EMTPJ, 2017), and a special training in Financial Law with a micro-credential in Private Banking Law (UGent, 2024).
He is a judicial officer at the commercial courts of Antwerp, Brussels (Dutch-speaking), and Ghent. These courts regularly appoint him as trustee, judicial officer, and provisional administrator, even in complex cases.
Additionally, he primarily focuses on assisting clients in financial legal conflict situations, often in an insolvency law context.
Nick strives for out-of-court solutions using mediation techniques, which he has been mastering since his first training in 2001.
Furthermore, Nick is a substitute judge at the Court of Appeal in Antwerp.
