BIOGRAPHY

Peter graduated with a Law degree from Ghent University (2004), obtained an additional specialisation in Tax Law at the Fiscale Hogeschool (2006), and became a certified Family Business Advisor (EHSAL Management School, 2012). He is specialised in estate planning, tax law, and advising family businesses and entrepreneurial families.

He leads the Private Client Services team and advises clients on structuring, growing, and transferring their wealth and business. His approach is characterised by clear, no-nonsense advice with one goal: relieving families as much as possible, both legally and fiscally.

Together with his team, Peter assists family businesses and high-net-worth individuals with (inter)national estate and wealth planning, family wealth law (including matrimonial property regimes, inheritance law, wills, and donations), tax optimisation, inheritance and gift tax, and the transfer and succession of family businesses.
He is often involved in complex succession planning processes, where he combines family interests with legal and fiscal efficiency.

Peter also acts as a trusted advisor for family offices, providing support in the management, planning, and structuring of family wealth across generations.

Peter is a sought-after speaker and regularly publishes on estate planning. He is editor-in-chief of the journal Estate Planning in Practice (Larcier) and shares his insights through seminars and professional articles.
