BIOGRAPHY
Gert-Jan obtained his Master of Laws degree from Ghent University in 2009, followed by an advanced Master in Tax Law from the same university in 2010. He began his professional career at a leading Belgian consultancy firm, where he spent several years working in the fields of corporate restructuring and real estate taxation.
Since 2016, he has transitioned into the legal profession and has been a member of the Dutch-speaking Bar in Brussels. Today, Gert-Jan’s expertise lies primarily in the restructuring of companies and associations in the broadest sense covering corporate, tax, accounting, and administrative aspects. He has also developed extensive knowledge in the area of cross-border (international) restructuring transactions.
In addition to his strong legal and tax knowledge, Gert-Jan has a pronounced entrepreneurial mindset and solid management skills. In just a few years, he has built the Corporate Restructuring team into a well-oiled unit, composed of motivated professionals with deep expertise in restructuring both corporate and non-profit structures.
Driven by his passion for the field and his entrepreneurial spirit, he and his team aim to assist clients in a personal and efficient manner.
