BIOGRAPHY
Bernd graduated cum laude in 2013 from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel with a Master’s in International and European Law. In 2014, he successfully (cum laude) completed the Master Complémentaire in Economic Law at the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
In February 2015, Bernd joined our office and has been a member of the Brussels Bar ever since.
He now has over ten years of experience in commercial law, corporate law, and data protection.
In this context, Bernd frequently advises clients on various transactions and drafts a wide range of commercial and corporate law documents, such as service agreements, management contracts, (commercial) lease agreements, general terms and conditions, shareholder agreements, etc. He also protects his clients' interests in disputes related to these areas, representing them in various proceedings (courts and arbitration).
Regarding data protection, Bernd reviews companies and their privacy policies and ensures the implementation of necessary follow-up steps. He prepares privacy statements, cookie statements, data processing agreements, processing registers, provides training, and more. Additionally, Bernd guides clients in cases of data breaches or when handling proceedings before the relevant authorities.
Bernd works in Dutch, English, and French.
